Welcome to Jeff Smith Photography : Accessibility

Although this site is primarily designed to be a visual medium digitally representing the Portfolio of Jeff Smith, several steps have been made by the site Author to adhere to the Web Standards outlined by the W3C to make the site as accessible and compliant as possible:

Site planning

This site is correctly structured using xhtml, and styled using css to enable optimal cross-browser compatibility and to enable the user to control the presentation and behaviour to their own requirements using their own browser.

The code has been carefully written to be W3C compliant and validated to these standards:

Valid XHTML 1.0 TransitionalValid CSS!

Resolution

This site has been designed on a wide screen 15" lcd screen at 1280x800. It has also been tested on a regular ratio 15" screen at 1024x768 - The site is optimised for this resolution and requires no horizontal scrolling with a body width of 960.

Alternate text

All images on this site are, where possible, accompanied by a brief alternative text description which identifies an image or its function.

Text size

The text on this web site has been styled using a non-fixed value in a style sheet. This means that users can easily change the text size using their browser settings should they wish for it to be smaller or larger.

Note from the Author
